The following
excerpt is from a prayer shared at our faculty meeting last
week. I hope you find it as inspiring as I did.
"Gracious Father I
thank you for the schools of learning which are opening
their doors for another term. Bless the millions of children
and young people who are beginning a new school year. Fill
them with love for learning and with a desire to develop
their powers to serve you. Make all schools nurseries of
useful knowledge and fill all students with a deep sense of
devotion toward you. Help the students to see all knowledge
in relation to you. Grant that they may use their knowledge
in developing the resources of the earth according to you
will and for the benefit of all people. Give them the true
wisdom to find joy in you and in the salvation which we have
through Jesus Christ. Amen"
Thanks to all who
attended Back-To-School Night last Thursday. You received a
lot of information and sometimes so much information in a
short time seems overwhelming. Please do not hesitate to
contact me if you have questions regarding any of our 8th
grade activities.
If you didn't have
an opportunity to sign up for our October 28th Spaghetti
Dinner, please contact Val Johnson or Diana Russell and
volunteer your services. We need every parent and every 8th
grader to make this event a big success. Reminder: All
proceeds from this dinner are given back to the students, in
the form of scholarships, at graduation.
I know this will
be a great year and I thank you for your support in all that
we do. |
