Through the
efforts of parents at St. Ignatius School, we currently have
3 Girl Scout Troops--Brownies in grades 1 and 2, and Juniors
in Grade 4. We may have a Daisy troop being formed for
Kindergarten. Our troops have participated in Council and
Service Unit events and activities, several service
projects, and other activities including Girl Scout Sunday
and donating a project for the Auction. This year the Girl
Scouts will host two First Sunday donuts and coffee socials
after Mass.
If there is some
way that you can share your skills, hobbies, crafts, or
talents, or if you are interested in becoming a leader or
assistant leader, please complete the
Adult Talent Bank form and
send it to Lisa Hightower through the school office.
The Tierra del
Oro Girl Scout Council provides great training, mostly free,
and a large lending library to help leaders and volunteers.
Because we have several troops at St. Ignatius, we have the
ability to share knowledge and resources, which makes our
jobs as leaders and volunteers that much easier.
You do not have
to have a girl in a troop to be a leader or assistant
leader, or to volunteer in some way. If you have questions,
want to volunteer, or have a daughter who is interested in
joining a troop, please contact any of the following people:
Troop
