Instructional Aide for 6th Grade

St. Ignatius School is currently taking applications for a part time instructional aide for sixth grade.  The position is 20 hours per week, 8am-noon.

The instructional aide respects Catholic values and aids students in Christian formation by exemplifying Catholic living, both in and out of the classroom. The instructional aide is a paraprofessional hired to assist the classroom teacher by providing help in meeting individual student needs and creating the best possible learning environment one that is positive, safe, and supportive.  

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

Education:   College credits in education preferred but not required.

Experience: Previous experience working with children, especially junior high students is preferred.  

Skills / Knowledge:

  • Displays ability to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Displays proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and computerized software
  • Establishes rapport, works independently, and maintains strict confidentiality and professional ethics
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to perform clerical tasks.
  • Open to growth and willing to be loving and supportive to the students in a faith filled Jesuit community
