Saint Ignatius Soccer Club Update for the 2020 Season

Players, Coaches, and Families;

Unfortunately, after many months of tracking the Coronavirus and our governing body’s attempts to safely return back to play, we are regrettably canceling the soccer season.  The decision was made on Tuesday, July 21st, at a special meeting of the River City Youth Soccer League.

For those of you that have already registered and paid for your season, we are offering a few options.  The first is a full refund of all fees paid to the Saint Ignatius Soccer Club, and the Second is to donate 100% of the registration fees to the Club to be passed directly to funding the new school field.  Saint Ignatius Soccer Club is a 501c3 Non-Profit, so your donations may be tax-deductible.  To confirm your refund or donation please email: SISoccerRegistrar@gmail.com. We are not offering to carry forward your registration fees to the next season.

Soccer is a way of life for many of our dedicated families.  That is why we have teamed up with Union Soccer Club, our league’s competitive level partner, to provide you with an alternative.  Union’s paid coaches and board members have recently received approval to ‘return to play’ from Sacramento County with extensive health and safety protocols. The concept is a 6-8 week, 1 day per week training that focuses on individual conditioning and skills development for less than $100.  Depending on the level of interest we may be able to keep all Saint Ignatius players on the same day. If you are interested in participating please try to let our Board know ASAP via email, so that we may plan accordingly.

Thank you for your continued support of our players, coaches, and board members.  We hope to see you this Fall at school, and next season on the soccer field.
