right around the corner? Mark it on your calendars- registration
will be open April 1st!
We are also on the search for more support at the board level
for this upcoming year. This is a great opportunity for any
parents or grandparents who want to get more involved and help
shape the future of our SI Soccer Club. This would contribute
towards St. Ignatius parent volunteer hours- and- play an
interictal part in the success of our organization.
Girls in grades K-5 are invited to join Troop 794!
This multi-level troop of Daisies (K-1st), Brownies (2nd-3rd) and
Juniors (4th-5th) will develop leadership and life skills, make
new friends, play games, attend fun local field trips, earn
awards and badges, and grow in their faith.
New this year: Registered parent volunteers can receive
school parent hours for volunteering at meetings!
St. Ignatius students, Greta Inderbitzen (8th grade) and Audra
Inderbitzen (6th grade), are Cadette Girl Scouts working on
earning their Girl Scout Silver Service Award. Their service
project is to create a camp kit for the Girl Scout troop located
at St. John’s shelter for girls who are living at St. John’s
shelter while their mother attends the program. If you would like
to assist these Girl Scouts, and contribute to this project, they
are seeking new and used camping cooking supplies. If you have
your supplies that you think would be useful please contact
916-712-7017 for pick up.

• What it is: Cub Scouting is fun for the whole
family. It’s fun, hands-on learning and achievement that
puts kids in the middle of the action and prepares them for today
– and for life.

The local Cub Scout group, Pack 225 which usually meets at Our
Lady of the Assumption Parish School and St. Ignatius is
recruiting kids of all ages to join the Pack. I understand that
the idea of adding a new virtual activity can be challenging. I
wanted to take some time to go over the basics of scouting and
answer some questions parents have when considering a new
activity for their child.
