The Technology curriculum is aligned with the national technology
standards outlined by ISTE (International Society for Technology
in Education) and CSTA (Computer Science Teachers Association).
The ISTE Standards for Students are designed to empower student
voice and ensure that learning is a student-driven process of
exploration, creativity and discovery.
The technology classes are being revised from teaching basic
computer skills that will be folded into the classroom curriculum
and focusing more on current technology topics such as coding,
media literacy, collaboration, animation and video
projects. This will help students with researching,
demonstrating creative thinking, constructing knowledge and
collaborating on work.
Our students are at the center of everything we do. As educators,
our foremost goal is to prepare them for their future. The
ISTE
Standards for Students describe the skills and knowledge they
need to learn effectively and live productively in an
increasingly global and digital society.
