This month’s unit is titled I Am Brave. During this unit we are discussing what it looks like to be brave when facing challenging circumstances in life. We are also teaching the students what it means to have courage.

Goal for our Students: To be Brave, stand firm in what is right, and make wise decisions.

HOW TO ENCOURAGE BRAVERY:

It can be overwhelming at any age to face fear of failure and be brave. One way you can support your student is by reframing failure as an opportunity for growth. When failure is viewed as positive, it bolsters your students’ confidence to be brave and try new things even if they may fail. Share with your student a time when you failed but you learned a lot in the process and were stronger and wiser in the end.

CONVERSATION STARTERS:

 Tell about a time you knew you needed to do something and did it because it was the right thing to do.
