Log in to Schoolspeak to view Athletics hour opportunities. All opportunities are listed on School Speak. Parents may no longer self-report Athletic hours.
A minimum of 4 hours per family at a “sports related job” (i.e. snack bar, scoring, pizza days, etc.) is required for each season that a student participates on a team. The maximum number of hours required is 12 per school year. Hours must be completed by an adult representing the family. No student/child may work or be at the snack bar/door table even if their parent is present. SI soccer volunteer hours do not count toward your Athletic hours commitment.
Families will be locked out of School Speak 48 hours prior to the event. No shows will be assessed a $50 fee. Site Directors and coaches will verify School Speak Athletic hours completed.
Hours must be complete by April 15, 2019. Athletic hours do not need to be completed in the season in which the student participates.
Incomplete hours will be billed at $50 per hour for a maximum fee of $600 if all 12 hours are incomplete.
If a family incurs a fee for incomplete Athletic hours the fee must be paid before the family can register at St. Ignatius for the next school year.
The maximum number of hours required is 12 hours per school year (1 sport in each season: fall, winter and spring). Hours must be completed by an adult representing the family. The 12 hour requirement is per family not per student (policy change 8/18).
Did you know Athletic hours count for regular parent hours? Yes, they do! While our families with athletes in grades 5th – 8th must complete four Athletic hours for every sport in which their child participates, we still need SI families to volunteer at our Athletic events for regular parent hours.
St. Ignatius hosts boys and girls Varsity Comp basketball every Wednesday and Thursday night beginning January 9th. We need help at the door, snack bar, and running our scoreboard.
On behalf of our entire staff, we welcome you to St. Ignatius Parish School. At St. Ignatius Parish School, you are part of a close knit community, who live their faith, and see the children thrive under the leadership of our pastor, Father Mike Moynahan.
Anyone who would like to volunteer their time at school, on a field trip, or any activity that involves our students, MUST complete an on line course provided by Catholic Mutual Group.
THIS TRAINING IS MANDATED AND A CERTIFICATE MUST BE PRESENTED TO THE SCHOOL OFFICE BEFORE YOU MAY VOLUNTEER TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY SCHOOL EVENTS/FUNCTIONS WHERE CHILDREN ARE PRESENT. This training must be renewed EVERY 3 years.
