A minimum of 4 hours per family at a “sports related job” (i.e.
admissions, scoring, pizza days, etc.) is required for each
season that a student participates on a JV or Varsity team. The
maximum number of hours required is 12 per school
year/family. Hours must be completed by an adult
representing the family. No student/child may
volunteer even if their parent is present. SI soccer
volunteer hours do not count toward Athletic hours commitment.
Families will be locked out of School Speak 48 hours prior to the
event. No shows will be assessed a $50 fee. Site Directors
and coaches will verify School Speak Athletic hours completed.
Hours must be completed by April 15, 2022
(except for students participating in Golf). Athletic hours
do not need to be completed in the season in which the student
Incomplete hours will be billed at $50 per hour for a maximum fee
of $600 if all 12 hours are incomplete.
If a family incurs a fee for incomplete Athletic hours the fee
must be paid before the family can register at St. Ignatius for
the next school year.
Need Athletic hours? SchoolSpeak (Athletics group) has many
opportunities to earn Athletic hours. Athletics hours due
April 15, 2023 before families will be assessed the $50/hour fee
for Athletic hours not performed.
Are you interested in coaching one of our many St. Ignatius
All coaches are required to be certified through the “Play Like a
Champion Today” clinic. Those in possession of NFHS Fundamentals
of Coaching certificate do not need to take the Play Like a
Champion course, but it is still recommended for all PAL coaches.
Need Athletic or regular parent hours? Athletic Hours are
now due for ALL JV & Varsity participants

Each family must volunteer four hours for each sport in which
their child participates on a JV or Varsity St. Ignatius
team. Volunteer hours do not need to be completed in the
season in which the athlete participates. There are no
vaccination or testing requirement for volunteers at PAL
Each St. Ignatius student planning to participate in a St.
Ignatius sponsored school sport must have on file in the office
prior to tryouts (Girls Volleyball and Basketball) or first
practice their physician signed medical release form and their
Athletics Emergency form.

Anyone who would like to volunteer their time at school, on a
field trip, or any activity that involves our students, MUST
complete an on line course provided by Catholic Mutual
THIS TRAINING IS MANDATED AND A CERTIFICATE MUST BE PRESENTED TO
THE SCHOOL OFFICE BEFORE YOU MAY VOLUNTEER TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY
SCHOOL EVENTS/FUNCTIONS WHERE CHILDREN ARE PRESENT. This
training must be renewed EVERY 3 years.
