opportunities are listed on School Speak. Parents may no
longer self-report Athletic hours.
A minimum of 4 hours per family at a “sports related job” (i.e.
snack bar, scoring, pizza days, etc.) is required for each season
that a student participates on a team. The maximum number of
hours required is 12 per school year. Hours must be
completed by an adult representing the family. No
student/child may work or be at the snack bar/door table even if
their parent is present. SI soccer volunteer hours do not count
toward your Athletic hours commitment.
Families will be locked out of School Speak 48 hours prior to the
event. No shows will be assessed a $50 fee. Site Directors
and coaches will verify School Speak Athletic hours completed.
Hours must be complete by April 15, 2019. Athletic hours do
not need to be completed in the season in which the student
Incomplete hours will be billed at $50 per hour for a maximum fee
of $600 if all 12 hours are incomplete.
If a family incurs a fee for incomplete Athletic hours the fee
must be paid before the family can register at St. Ignatius for
the next school year.

PAL sports return for the 2021-22 school
year! Fall sports include: Boys
Flag Football, Co-ed Cross Country, and Girls Volleyball.
Need Athletic hours? SchoolSpeak (Athletics group) has many
opportunities to earn Athletic hours. If volunteering at
any event, families must be fully vaccinated or provide proof of
a negative Covid test. There are many volunteer hours
available that do not require vaccination or a negative Covid
Are you interested in coaching one of our many St. Ignatius
Athletic teams? To be considered as a Coach for the upcoming JV
and Varsity (5th – 8th grades) Basketball season all
coaching requirements must be completed by November
1st (except PLAC course). Little Dribbler
basketball (1st – 4th grades) is moving to a six week Spring
Documentation may be turned into the school office or emailed to
St. Ignatius hosts Varsity Girls Volleyball games every Thursday
evening and your help is needed to run the scoreboard or work at
the admission table in the lobby of the Parish Center. All
PAL volunteers must be fully vaccinated or provide a negative
covid test on the Wednesday of the week in which they would like
Sports are an integral part of the total religious and
educational program at St. Ignatius School. Come support St.
Ignatius while watching a 49ers game at Levi
stadium. A proceed from each ticket will go back to
support St. Ignatius Athletics. Ticket purchases do not
count towards fundraising credit.

Anyone who would like to volunteer their time at school, on a
field trip, or any activity that involves our students, MUST
complete an on line course provided by Catholic Mutual
THIS TRAINING IS MANDATED AND A CERTIFICATE MUST BE PRESENTED TO
THE SCHOOL OFFICE BEFORE YOU MAY VOLUNTEER TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY
SCHOOL EVENTS/FUNCTIONS WHERE CHILDREN ARE PRESENT. This
training must be renewed EVERY 3 years.
