Seventh and eighth grade boys play flag football each fall.
The girls form their team in the spring.
2022 Girls Flag Football begins Monday February 28th.
Practices are 3:15 – 5pm Mondays, Tuesday, and Thursdays until
league games begin. Once games begin, practices are Monday
and Tuesday.
Prior to Back to School Night activities, Athletics hosts a
mandatory meeting for all 5th grade families (oldest child) and
new 6th – 8th grade families.
Athletics mandatory meeting is Thursday, August
14th 5:15 - 5:50pm in the Parish Center
Garden Room. This meeting, and all Back to School
Night events, is for adults only.

1. For athletes who play their league games at SI for their
season, the required four Athletic hours must be completed on
site during that season. St. Ignatius hosts Varsity Girls
Comp Volleyball, Boys & Girls Varsity Basketball, and Varsity
Boys Volleyball.

Play Like a Champion coaching course is Sunday, August 24th 1:30
– 4pm at Jesuit HS. Earn Athletic hours by attending

Fall sports: Co-ed Cross Country (5th – 8th grades); Boys
Flag Football (7th – 8th grades); Girls Volleyball (5th – 8th
grades).
Congratulations to the 2017 Girls Flag Football team on their
undefeated season. The Tigers defeated St. Mary’s for the
PAL Championship.
The Boys Flag Football team had a fantastic season going
undefeated throughout the regular season. The team fell
just short to OLA in the finals and are the runner ups this year.
Tiger Strong is a fun, high-energy strength and conditioning
program based on proven methods that keep kids active, confident,
and engaged. We mix structured workouts with games and fitness
challenges to create a positive and supportive experience for all
skill levels.
Open to all 4th–8th-grade students. Tiger Strong is
held every Wednesday morning.
Drop off 7:05 – 7:10am at the Parish Center. Tiger
Strong begins Wednesday, August 20th.
Each St. Ignatius student planning to participate in a St.
Ignatius school sport must have on file three forms in the
office: 1) their physician signed medical
release form; 2)Athletics
Emergency form; and 3)signed
acknowledgement form for Concussion,
Sudden Cardiac Arrest, and Opiod fact
sheets. The forms are due
prior to tryouts (Girls Volleyball and
JV & Varsity basketball) or the first practice for all other
sports.
