St. Ignatius Parish School is a ministry of St. Ignatius Church.
The majority of families who attend the school are also
active in the life of the parish.
SVdP provides furniture, rent and utility assistance and
other aid to needy families in our community. We are appealing to
our school parents and grandparents to help us in our
mission.
For the first time in the history of the Catholic Church, the
Pope is asking for input from all members of the church, not just
the hierarchy, to reflect on and discuss their joys and hopes for
the church as well as griefs and disappointments. Questions
set-forth by the Pope will be considered at small-group
discussion tables. Input received will be synthesized into
a report for the Dioceses of Sacramento and eventually
information will be sent to Rome. The sessions are taking
place:
Still need to complete your Parish Hours for this school
year? Please consider volunteering to help with our
Feed-A-Family program for Easter 2024. Help is needed March 21,
4-8 PM, March 22, 4-8PM and March 23, 7-11AM. If interested
please contact Linda Parreira at lparreira@si-sac.org.
Reminder: Parents are required to
complete 2 Parish Hours per school year by April 15. Already
completed your 2 Parish hours? You can also apply Parish hours to
your Regular hours.
Looking to improve your prayer life this Lent, but can’t find a
quiet spot in your busy home? The Church is open for school
families from 2 -3 p.m. on days when school is in full-day
session. Just ring the bell for the front gate and say you
are going to the church. You can enter the church through
the back door. There you will find a quiet place to spend
some time with our blessed Lord. We hope you will take
advantage of this opportunity during Lent.
