Your child must have independent bathroom skills to attend St. Ignatius Summer Preschool

Who can attend St. Ignatius Preschool?

Summer Preschool is available to all Preschoolers ages 3 through 5 years old.  (Students must be 3 years old by June 15th)

The students who will be entering TK have the choice to attend the Summer Program run by St. Ignatius School or the Summer Preschool Program)

What is the summer schedule?

Our classes are 4 days a week from Monday through Thursday.  Our day starts and 8:00 a.m. and goes to 11:30 a.m. You may arrive at your leisure.

How do I register?

Please fill out the registration form on the attached PDF  and return it along with the $60 registration fee. Please make checks out to St. Ignatius School. (For those students who do not attend SI you will need to also get a packet with the CA state forms)

Does my child have to attend every day of the weeks I pay for?

No! You may attend only when you chose to attend but we will not refund money for days you choose to miss.

Do I have to choose all the weeks I want to attend right now?

Yes! Students may sign up for one week at a time or all six weeks or pick and choose.  Please looks over the schedule and pick what works for your schedule. Our weeks fill up very quickly! You must include a $25 deposit for every week you sign up for. You must register if you are planning on attending at any point in the summer.

What about Drop In Summer Care?

Once you have registered for the Preschool Summer Program you have the option to call ahead and see if we have room for your child for Drop In Care on the morning that you need it.  We may or may not have room.  You will need to pay for Drop In Care on the morning that you use it.  WE WILL NOT BILL YOU. PLEASE BRING YOUR CHECKBOOK.

Do I have to pack a snack?

No! We will provide a healthy snack every day.  We ask that you do NOT pack a snack for your child.   

Week One: Welcome Summer!

Mon, June 15th- Thursday June 18th  

Preschoolers will enjoy all the traditional summer activities: making ice cream, water play in wading pools & sprinklers, summer stories, building sand castles & fun summer art projects.

Week Two: Down on the Farm

Monday, June 22nd – Thursday, June 25th

Come & join us on Old MacDonald’s Farm. Preschoolers will learn about what lives and grows down on the farm.  We will plant a few seeds and we will read stories, sing songs & work on the farm.  We will end our week with a big Farm House Breakfast for snack on the 25th!

Week Three: Digging Dinos!

Monday, June 29th- Thursday, July 2nd   

There is so much to learn about dinosaurs!  What did they eat? Where did they live? What did they look like? We discover all the answers to these questions while sharpening our preschool cutting, gluing & listening skills.  We will also unearth some amazing dino “fossils” in our won dinosaur paleontologist ‘sand box dig’.

There is no Preschool Summer Program the week of July 6th

Week Four: Life’s a Beach

Monday, July 13th- Thursday, July 16th

Sand & Sun! Crabs & Starfish!  Preschoolers will explore the touch, feel and smell of all these things and more!  We will have so much fun learning about the beach.  We will play beach games & have snack ‘picnics’.  Life is a beach at preschool summer camp!

Week Five: Let’s Camp Out!

Monday, July 20th- Thursday, July 23rd  

Our Preschool Campers will pitch a tent and make s’mores as we ‘camp out’.  We will take some Nature Walks, go on a few Bear Hunts and make our own Trail Mix- all without leaving the campus! We will learn some camp songs & do some camp crafts and have a great camp out!

Week Six: Ready, Set, School!

Monday, July 27th- Thursday, July 31st  

Summer is almost over and we will get ready to start school. We will talk about school schedules and what to expect when school starts.  We will read lots of books about school.  We will talk about teachers, principals & all our new school friends!  School is so much fun and we can’t wait to start!

Summer Preschool Fee’s

Registration Fee:                                           $60

Per Week (Mon-Thurs)                                  $100

Daily Drop In Rate (8 to 12)                           $25

All 6 Great Weeks! (save $50)                         $550

Please complete the registration form and return it with your registration fee and a $25 deposit for each week.

If your child is a NEW incoming preschooler (not a returning preschooler) all of the preschool paper work must be turned in to the school office.  This includes all of the State of California forms in your registration including the Physicians Report.
