Summer Preschool Basics

• Summer Preschool is available to all Preschoolers ages 3 through 5 years old. Students must be 2 years 9 months by June 1st. Students who will be entering TK or K have the option to attend SI Summer Preschool or SI Summer Camp.
• Our classes are 4 days a week from Monday through Thursday.  Our day starts and 8:00am and goes to 12:00pm.You may arrive at your leisure.
• We will provide a healthy snack every day.  We ask that you do NOT pack a snack for your child.

​Summer Preschool Fees

• Registration Fee:      $40
• Per Week (Mon-Thurs)    $95
• Daily Drop In Rate (8 to 12)   $25
• All 6 Great Weeks! (save $20)  $550

​Registration

• Please fill out the registration form included here and return it along with the $40 registration fee. Please make checks out to St. Ignatius School. 
• If your child is a NEW incoming preschooler (not a returning preschooler) all of the preschool paper work must be turned in to the school office.  This includes all of the State of California forms in your registration including the Physician’s Report.  For those students who do not attend SI you will need to also get a packet with the CA state forms.
• You may attend only when you chose to attend but we will not refund money for days you choose to miss.
• Students may sign up for one week at a time or all six weeks or pick and choose.  Please look over the schedule and pick what works for your schedule. You must include a $25 deposit for every week you sign up for. You must register if you are planning on attending at any point in the summer.
• Once you have registered for the Preschool Summer Program you have the option to call ahead and see if we have room for your child for Drop In Care on the morning that you need it.  We may or may not have room.  You will need to pay for Drop In Care on the morning that you use it.  WE WILL NOT BILL YOU. PLEASE BRING YOUR CHECKBOOK.

Week One:  Welcome Summer!

Mon, June 17th- Thursday June 20th 

Preschoolers will enjoy all the traditional summer activities: making ice cream, water play in wading pools & sprinklers, summer stories, building sand castles & fun summer art projects.

Week Two: Down on the Farm

Monday, June 24th- Thursday, June 27th

Come & join us on Old MacDonald’s Farm. Preschoolers will learn about what lives and grows down on the farm.  We will read stories, sing songs & work on the farm.

There is no Preschool Summer Program the week of July 1st .

Week Three: Digging Dinos!

Monday, July 8th- Thursday, July 11th 

There is so much to learn about dinosaurs!  What did they eat? Where did they live? What did they look like? We discover all the answers to these questions while sharpening our preschool cutting, gluing & listening skills.  We will also unearth some amazing dino “fossils” in our won dinosaur paleontologist ‘sand box dig’.

Week Four: Life’s a Beach

Monday, July 15th- Thursday, July 18th

Sand & Sun! Crabs & Starfish!  Preschoolers will explore the touch, feel and smell of all these things and more!  We will have so much fun learning about the beach.  We will play beach games & have snack ‘picnics’.  Life is a beach at preschool summer camp!

Week Five: Let’s Camp Out!

Monday, July 22nd – Thursday July 25th

Our Preschool Campers will pitch a tent and make s’mores as we ‘camp out’.  We will take some Nature Walks, go on a few Bear Hunts and make our own Trail Mix- all without leaving the campus! We will learn some camp songs & do some camp crafts and have a great camp out!

Week Six: Ready, Set, School!

Monday, July 29th- Thursday August 1st

Summer is almost over and we will get ready to start school. We will talk about school schedules and what to expect when school starts.  We will read lots of books about school.  We will talk about teachers, principals & all our new school friends!  School is so much fun and we can’t wait to start!
