2012 Wrap-Up
We hope everyone enjoyed Breakfast with Santa this year! Our goal was to make it an enjoyable holiday experience for our S.I. School and Parish families. With over 100 more attendees than last year, we hope with our planning, everyone had a fun time.
Volunteers
Our success is owed to the following contributors: Santa, our guest of honor who made the morning very special for all who believe, Knights of Columbus for preparing our delicious breakfast buffet and judging our Gingerbread Contest, Jennifer Tamblyn (Kinder and PS mom), our Volunteer Coordinator extraordinaire, Michael Marois (1st grade dad), our wonderful photographer, Paul McDermott (Kinder dad), our fun games developer and supervisor, Edison Hapita (8th grade dad), set up volunteer who was with us the entire day. On the day of the event, the true stars were the Volunteers. Their help was extremely valuable in making the event a success. Adrian Cortes-Torres (3rd and 1st grade dad), our Safety Watch coordinator who gives us peace of mind, Martha Nevai-Klemones (1st grade mom) who rolled up her sleeves and supervised the student volunteers at the Arts and Crafts stations the entire time, and Heather Enos (7th grade mom) and Rich Hale (7th grade dad) who worked very hard to get all of the pictures printed out and distributed by the end (they even managed to get done early!). We can’t forget the Cookie Bakers (you know who you are) – they all turned out delicious. All of our Parent Volunteers, from working prior to the event in their homes to the day of the event by volunteering for shifts, were instrumental for making the event run smoothly (special mention: Christopher Bakes – 2nd grade uncle, our 1st shift captain in the Garden Room really helped get the morning started in the right direction!). Last, but not least were our Student Volunteers. They should be extremely proud of themselves for stepping in and working as hard as they did. Here are some comments from our guests, “the students were very courteous and helpful!” and “the students worked really well with the kids,” which made us feel very proud of our students. Thank you, students (especially the ones who worked both shifts!). Sadly, we can’t list all of our volunteers as much as we’d like to but we’d like to say that they were all a huge part of the event!

Our goal was to bring attention to our very own S.I. family vendors and we hope this is the start of a trend for future Breakfast with Santas.
